🚨 It can be a real shock to see our beloved horse get a nasty wound! 🚨

Especially when we think we are doing our utmost to care for them. But, as any seasoned horse owner will know, accidents DO happen!

Knowing when to call your vet and what to do while you wait can literally be the difference between life and death. 🚑

Set aside wrapping them in bubble wrap, here's what you can do for your horse when they need you:

🔹 Wound care for horses.

🔹 Quickly assess your horse so you know if you need to call the vet.

🔹 When to call the vet and what can wait.

🔹 Stages of wound healing.

🔹 Principles of wound healing.

🔹 Wound care products - what to use and what you should avoid.

🔹 Troubleshooting wound care.

🔹 AND our great LIVE Q&A, so bring us your burning questions!

We want every horse owner to feel confident that they know what to do and every horse to get the right care at the right time. "

  • About Amanda

Amanda Edwards is the founder and Director of the Equine Care Clinic and Equine - E Care, with a background as an Emergency Nurse with specialised wound care skills.

  • Amanda realised that horse owners were not confident in looking after their sick or injured horses and worried that they might make things worse - that their horse might not get better. To help them, she opened the Equine Care Clinic in 2010 to provide recovery care for sick or injured horses when their owners could not.

  • In 2014 she authored her book, First Response - A Practical Guide to Caring For Your Sick or Injured Horse.

  • She holds one-day First Response workshops and also lectures at the Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy on Horse First Aid and Emergency Response. And is also a popular presenter at EQUITANA Australia and New Zealand.

  • In 2018 Amanda and her team launched the Horse First Aid Online course to give access to credible and practical information to horse owners all over the world.
